(BlackPressMagazine.com) - DC Livers will host the "Start Your Own Hip Hop Publication" workshop as part of the upcoming ceremony for Ray Daniels, publisher of Drahma Magazine, who won "Best New Publication" at the 3rd Annual Black Press All Stars Awards. The awards ceremony will take place at a private VIP party at the Spy Club in New York City on Friday, January 18, 2008.
The event will include the "Start Your Own Hip Hop Publication" workshop designed to help new or aspiring publishers success while calling attention to the hip hop industry which is credited with delivering younger and younger readers.
“Advertisers and marketers are taking notice and we're seeing a growing trend of hip hop's infiltration to the mainstream Black Press. That's I'm excited that Black Press Magazine and BlackPressRadio.com have been asked to be the media sponsor for the Atlanta Hip Hop Film Festival because we want to have an impact on this industry."

Black Press will conduct pre-, during and post-event podcast interviews, write articles on the Hip Hop Journalism Summit and Black Press All Star Awards event were held on Sept. 19-20, 2008 and help promote the event as part of the media sponsorship commitment. The 4th annual Hip Hop Journalism Summit and Black Press All Star Awards is currently accepting application for individuals who want to be apart of the panels, sponsorship list or judging selection committee to help determine the winners among the submissions comprised of newspapers, magazines, websites, publicists, authors and others in the Black media industry.
