(BlackPressMagazine.com) – When Amanda aka “Ice” stars in the third installment of Flavor of Love 3 that airs on the VH1 Network beginning February 11, America will be knee-deep in picking the next presidential candidate. But it will be Flavor Flav's turn to pick his new leading lady from the 21 women who are on the show.
So what's different about this season? A lot.
First the women are older, many have children and most seem more driven than the women from the past two seasons.
“This season the women are more classy,” says Ice, a part time deejay in the Detroit area and a full-time waitress at Hooters who makes no secret that she's interested in a career in broadcast and entertainment. She's even landed a spot as an extra on the popular TV drama, CSI NY.
Flavor Flav agrees.
“You can tell right off that I got a different batch of females! But don’t worry; I weeded out the fake hood-rats and the spitters,” the star of the series said. “People are like books. All you’ve got to do is read ‘em, and I’m not dumb. I have a good sense of intuition,” said Flav during an interview with TV Guide.
But for those who are hoping that things get racy on this season of the show, you're in luck.
There's a set of twins, a girl named “Bunz” and three women hail from the waitress staff of the Hooters company including “Rayna” from Chicago. There's even a White girl nicked named “Hotlanta” who professes to have “a thing for gold teeth and Black men.”
Flav seems very happy with the new season and the women chosen.
“You’ve got to upgrade. So I changed some things up in Season 3, and it’s definitely going to be bananas. Let me put it this way: It’s - wow - a whole different look. Some of the events are different. And I got in positions that you wouldn’t expect Flavor Flav to be in. I’m going sky-diving and chartering planes to take girls to even more romantic places,” said Flav.
“Usually I give the girls nicknames, but not this time,” Flav said. “[But this time] the girls let me know what they want to be called,” he said.
