(BlackPressMagazine.com) - If you thought you'd heard everything about VH1's Charm School, think again.
Latina beauty Heather "Krazy" Crawford can pretty much guarantee you haven't heard her story.
In an exclusive podcast interview with Black Press Magazine's DC Livers, Krazy dishes out a verbal azz kicking, sets the record straight about her stints on VH1's Flavor of Love and Charm School and reveals new plans for her new life.
"I thought I was done with the Charm School interviews," said DC Livers, managing editor for Black Press Magazine. "But I got a call from Heather's manager who told me, "I don't let her do too many interviews, but I'd let her talk with you." Although he didn't say why, I figured why not. The interview was unexpected, unscheduled and random. I didn't even have a bio on her, an episode guide from the show and midway through our building's alarm system went off. Luckily, it was a false alarm."
On the Flavor of Love Deelishis and Krazy were once friends who quickly were at odds.
"It was ironic that I interviewed them in back-to-back podcast interviews. I remember thinking, "They couldn't have been more different if they tried," Livers said.
"During our interview, which turned into a funeral for her character on the reality shows, Heather exhibited an extreme amount of maturity," said Livers. "After she got the anger of betrayal out of her system, Heather seemed overjoyed to be able to separate herself from the person she was and seems very comfortable with the woman she has become."
According to the latest Nielsen Media Resarch ratings, 3.6 million viewers watched the Charm School Reunion, but Heather gave up watching the show after just a few episodes and she even refused to go to the reunion for fear that "everything I've been working so hard to build would be taken from me in an instant."
What she's building is a new life as a motivational speaker, actress and soon-to-be author. Heather will become the nation's first reality TV star to write a book about her experience. The tell-all book is entitled, "That's why they call me Krazy."
While Deelishis and other girls from the Flavor of Love/Charm School shows are working overtime to extend their 15 minutes of fame, Krazy, who is half Mexican, is trying to separate herself from the public image she created on the show.
"When we were getting along, the [VH1] producers didn't like that so they made us fight," said Crawford.
According to a reliable source within the VH1 community, Charm School will be back for a second season, although VH1 has not announced it yet. But, don't count on seeing Heather, who says she worked hard to change her life.
"Charm School degraded the women. I don't want to be a part of that," said Crawford.
