Exclusive: New Jack City 2 creator discusses his trials, tribulations and the movie that was based upon his lifeNew Jack City creator discusses his trials, tribulations and the movie that was based upon his life

News: DC Livers invited to set of Young & Restless. Meet the cast beginning July 24.

(BlackPressMagazine.com) - Although popular character Gee Money (Allen Payne) and his partner in crime Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes) who called themselves Cash Money Brothers may died a violent deaths in the 90s cult classic movie, New Jack City, but the men who lived the lives on which the movie was based are both alive and at least one of them is ready to talk.

Black Press Magazine caught up with Gerald G. Money in Harlem, New York and sat down with him for an exclusive interview as part of the six part "LIVE from NEW YORK" podcast series.

"I want to tell the true story of New Jack City," he said. "If I had the ability to redefine what the "g" stands for I'd like it to represent my relationship with God. What influence me as a young man was the drug game because I saw the idol figures of the world driving around in Mercedes Benz and having a relationship with a lot of females. But as I look back to see how these things were brought about for us to follow these things, it wasn't a good way because most of those guys end up dead or in the federal penitinerary," he said.

Money hopes to use his personal experience to help youth make better choices, especially as it relates to money.
